The beginning part of a photoshop donut. I demonstrated to my class how to scan a drawing and start manipulating basic color fills and simple changes. This donut will become more elaborate over several lectures.

I gave a basic photoshop demo to my Digital Imaging class today. Guess what subject matter I chose.
A Donut A Day has reached a milestone with Day 100!
As we celebrate Labor Day, we also realize that summer is coming to a close. Kids go back to school, vacations get wrapped up, and donut blogs come to an end. I began the donut project with no expectations of how long it would last and what would be created. It has aided in my daily practice as an artist, been a great excuse to work with other artists, instigated many conversations on donuts, and most importantly, been an excuse to eat pastries!
A Donut A Day will likely continue on sporadically, but no longer live up to its name. Thank you for all who have supported this project!
