Day 104

The latest update from the donut I’m painting in Photoshop. It’s made quite the progress since Day 102.

Day 102

The beginning part of a photoshop donut. I demonstrated to my class how to scan a drawing and start manipulating basic color fills and simple changes. This donut will become more elaborate over several lectures.Day 102: Pink Frosted

Day 100

A Donut A Day has reached a milestone with Day 100!
As we celebrate Labor Day, we also realize that summer is coming to a close. Kids go back to school, vacations get wrapped up, and donut blogs come to an end. I began the donut project with no expectations of how long it would last and what would be created. It has aided in my daily practice as an artist, been a great excuse to work with other artists, instigated many conversations on donuts, and most importantly, been an excuse to eat pastries!
A Donut A Day will likely continue on sporadically, but no longer live up to its name. Thank you for all who have supported this project!

Day 99

As part of Matt & Kendall Ladd’s outdoor movie series, we decided the evening’s festivities needed a pinata. I volunteered to make the pinata, which of course meant it would be a donut.
